I am a visual artist who uses a combination of abstract painting, printmaking and de-collage to discuss legacy, identity, and current affairs within a fictional often abstract setting. The stories and ideas I reference in my work are informed by my own experiences growing up in a working class Puerto Rican family.
Inspirations include advertising, graffiti, newspapers, graphic novels and textures native to the changing urban landscape. Using contextual clues and visual language, the subject matter of my work takes form in the way one might recall details of a forgotten dream, a distant memory, or even a glimpse into the future.
